This guideline addresses the Taming the Beast quest chain from the point just ahead of Thotar provides you with a taming Rod to get a Dire Mottled Boar in Razor Hill. Thotar offers you a series of three taming rods, each differs and makes it possible for you tame beasts in the following order: Dire Mottled Boar, Surf Crawler and at last an Armored Scorpid.

When you have completed the taming Section of the Quest chain, you have got to head to Orgrimmar and talk to Ormak Grimshot while in the Valley of Honor in order to unlock your pet handling abilities: Tame Beast; Feed Pet; Revive Pet; and Beast Training.

Finally, do not forget to go to the orc hunter pet quest Pet Trainer and get the Pet abilities that you have got to give to your companion pet.
